Egils Stalidzans has participated in the ELIXIR All hands meeting held in Uppsala Un iversity 10-12. June 2024. Despite the fact that Latvia is not ELIXIR member, ELIXIR has covered the participation to facilitate better understanding about ELIXIR. The leader Bioinformatics group Baiba Vilne has worked on this for some years.
The meeting has demonstrated the true power of ELIXIR with node presentations, scientific projects, future plans for different communities as well as about 400 participants. Uppsala University building as venue has been another highlight of this year meeting.
Conclusion: Latvia has to continue to strive becoming ELIXIR member.
