Dedicated lab experiments for the development of mathematical model

The Rhodolive project, just as many other projects, continues by electronic communication and is delayed due to the Covid-19. The modeling activities of R glutinis metabolism conducted by the Computational Systems Biology Group currently are supported by lab experiments at the University of Kassel.

The consumption of particular phenolic compounds of olive mill wastewater is determined experimentally to ensure correct modeling of consumption pathways in the model. These activities are precondition for the improvement of fermentation media composition. That is systems biology at work: cycles of biological and computational experiments lead to better understanding.
